Who we are
We are passionate mango lovers that started out as a service that delivers farm-fresh mangoes from our own orchards to UK, USA & Canada. As our customer base grew, we had to move away from being a small cultivator to being a facilitator building relationships with many small farmers. By doing so, we are now able to help many small farmers in India and the communities in the west that seek authentic fresh fruits.
Our Goals
1. Provide a fair price to our farmer partners - irrespective of whether they receive fair treatment from elsewhere.
2. Provide fragrant, aromatic, flavour-rich, yummy mangoes to communities in the west.
3. Work with the farmers to keep the ecological balance in the orchards - taking care of our trees and environment is as important as the cultivation of the fruit.
Our fruit
Our fruit is exceptionally sweet, rich and smooth, among the finest in the world. The harsh climate of the region, where peak summer temperatures can go above 43 degrees C (110 degrees F) might be a reason for the deliciousness of the fruit. Whether it is the enriched ancient soil or the almost ridiculously dry and hot weather, the mangoes from these orchards are fragrant and flavorful.
Unlike others, we harvest mangoes only when they are fully mature and ship them quickly to you so they remain flavorful and sweet. Other merchants do not let the mangoes mature. Mature mangoes have to be carefully selected as they tend to have several issues compared to immature mangoes. These merchants lower their risk by plucking the fruit before it reaches maturity - the lower the maturity of the fruit, the lower the incidence of various mango issues - but those mangoes have poor taste and quality. This is due to the fact that these fruit are ripened artificially.
We focus on taste and fragrance, so we wait until the fruit reaches full maturity - the result is that the fruit become exceptionally tasty and fragrant - this difference is like tasting honey vs tasting filtered water. But mature fruit have higher possibility to have issues. We take many precautions to reduce this risk, but mangoes being a natural product and on top of that being an extremely sensitive fruit, even experienced farmers can't identify a few issues at the orchard. These issues manifest only when the mangoes are fully ripe and ready for consumption.
